Blackmount Group is the long-term financial technology venture that Lior Amsellem is building toward. Its premise is that the best financial products for small businesses will come from software that already understands how those businesses run — their bookings, jobs, orders, staff and invoices — rather than from a processor that only sees the transaction. Blackmount Group is the name for that ambition and for the company intended to carry it.
Premise
"The goal is to understand the business behind every payment, not just the transaction itself."— Lior Amsellem, guiding statement for Blackmount Group
A payment processor sees an amount, a card and a merchant category. Software that runs a business sees what the payment was for: a cleaning business has a scheduled job, an assigned employee, a completed service, an invoice and then a payment; a restaurant has an order, a table, menu items, labour and then a payment. Amsellem's thesis is that this operational context — handled with the merchant's consent — makes financial products materially better: clearer payout tracking, truer profit, fairer risk assessment, faster dispute handling.
Where it starts
Blackmount Group starts with software, not finance. Servio and Servio Restaurant manage customers, work, orders and revenue for small businesses and already route payments through each merchant's own Stripe account. The first financial features planned on top of that data are intelligence, not money movement:
- Payment tracking — a plain answer to "when does this reach my bank?", built from the provider's own statuses.
- Profitability analysis — profit from real jobs, orders and costs, with every assumption labelled.
- Cash flow forecasting — from known transactions and scheduled obligations.
- Dispute management — organising evidence and tracking a case from one place.
- Merchant financial dashboards that bring the above together.
Long-term vision for financial infrastructure
As the software earns real merchant adoption and the intelligence features prove their value, the platform is intended to grow, through the right partners, into a fuller financial layer for small businesses:
- Payment processing through partnership arrangements
- Business expense management
- Business cards through an issuing partner
- Banking products through regulated banking partners
- Business financing through licensed lending partners
Amsellem's furthest ambition is independent payments infrastructure and, in time, a regulated banking institution of Blackmount Group's own — a goal he frames as a decade-scale project that depends on capital, expertise and regulatory approval, and that he intends to earn step by step rather than announce.
